01
Built around the recordings you already have
Splice watches folders where tools like NVIDIA App, OBS, Xbox Game Bar, or built-in recorders save finished MP4s. New captures enter the queue automatically, and existing files can be scanned when you want them analyzed.
02
Vision models look for the moment
When analysis is enabled, Splice sends sampled frames or supported video input to OpenRouter vision models with a game-specific prompt. The model returns timestamps, and Splice turns those moments into highlights.
03
Highlights stay local by default
Extracted clips are saved as separate files in your Splice Highlights folder. The original source recording is not modified, so you can keep the full session, trim again, or delete only the highlight you no longer need.
04
Share only when you choose
Splice does not require an account for local clipping. If you publish to Explore, that is opt-in, and published clips are part of a short-lived feed that expires after 14 days.
